corefx Wins Two Prestigious AEP Awards
PHILADELPHIA , PA – June 9, 2006 – corefx Three Level was awarded Distinguished Achievement Awards for Best Art Software and for Most Innovative Software by the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP).
“We were extremely pleased. It's a real feather in our cap to get these awards. We're not surprised in the sense that corefx has had amazing consistency to its reviews by a number of different organizations, whether they are in educational markets or consumer markets,” said Doug Hatch , President and CEO of Core Learning. “It's not the first award we've received but it's another important affirmation that corefx is one of the most exciting software applications to come to market in quite a few years.”
The awards followed a review published by the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) , the leading technology organization in North America . The review gave a very high recommendation to corefx as the premiere brand of creativity in the elementary school and middle school classroom.
“The AEP awards program is the educational publishing industry's counterpart to the Academy Awards. The largest publishers are a part of it and they are all eager to have their titles win. For a young, small company like Core Learning winning two awards is a very tall achievement,” said Hatch.
Publishers submit their titles for consideration and the review committees determine and notify finalists and winners. Submitted products undergo a thorough judging process executed by highly qualified experts. The priority focus is on the educational value of the product alongside quality, originality/creativity and ease of use. The awards program honors a variety of different media including print materials, videos, and software, with evaluations varying from one category to another.
The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), founded in 1895, is a national, nonprofit association devoted to serving and advancing the supplemental educational publishing industry. Its membership represents the many facets of the educational publishing community including publishers, service providers, nonprofit associations, schools, researchers, and freelance contributors. With the rapid growth of new educational technologies, AEP members are at the forefront of delivering progressive, educational products and services that address individual learning needs and differences.
